INTRODUCTION 

Bell Cross Roberton Limited (we, us, our) complies with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 (the Act) when dealing with personal information. Personal information is information about an identifiable individual (a natural person). 

This policy sets out how we will collect, use, disclose and protect your personal information when visiting our website or making an application for a property.

PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT 

When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information.”

WHO DO WE COLLECT YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION FROM

We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfil any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations). Additionally, we use this Order Information to:

When in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.

We share your Personal Information with third parties to help us use your Personal Information, as described above.   • • any business that supports our services and products, including any person that hosts or maintains any underlying IT system or data centre that we use to provide the website or other services and products 

  • • a credit reference agency for the purpose of credit checking you 

  • • a person who can require us to supply your personal information (e.g. a regulatory authority) 

  • • any other person authorised by the Act or another law (e.g. a law enforcement agency) 

  • • any other person authorised by you. 

 

We may transfer your information in the case of a sale, merger, consolidation, liquidation, reorganisation or acquisition.

As described above, we use your Personal Information to provide you with targeted advertisements or marketing communications we believe may be of interest to you. ACCESSING AND CORRECTING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION 

Subject to certain grounds for refusal set out in the Act, you have the right to access your readily retrievable personal information that we hold and to request a correction to your personal information. Before you exercise this right, we will need evidence to confirm that you are the individual to whom the personal information relates. 

In respect of a request for correction, if we think the correction is reasonable and we are reasonably able to change the personal information, we will make the correction. If we do not make the correction, we will take reasonable steps to note on the personal information that you requested the correction.

While we take reasonable steps to maintain secure internet connections, if you provide us with personal information over the internet, the provision of that information is at your own risk.
