The research from Booking.com shows that despite the opening of the quarantine-free travel bubble with Australia, many New Zealanders will wait to be fully vaccinated before packing their bags and grabbing their passports, particularly those over 55.
One thousand New Zealanders took part in the survey, with 60 percent of them saying they'll wait until they're vaccinated before holidaying overseas - but almost as many (59 percent) said they were more hopeful about travelling this year thanks to the vaccines.
The data also shows a massive increase in the number of people searching for accommodation in the days following the announcement of the travel bubble..
